Principles
Four principles that apply to every assignment

One point of contact
Marc Derlich takes your enquiry, plans every assignment himself and is personally present on most of them. You never have to explain anything twice.

Preparation before presence
Most risks can be reduced in advance: through analysis, by planning routes and timings, and through clear arrangements.

De-escalation comes first
Calm communication and distance resolve more situations than force. We only intervene when it is necessary and proportionate.

Discretion
Names, appointments and locations remain confidential. As a matter of principle, DERLO does not name clients as references.
Structure
Personally led, reinforced project by project.
DERLO is not a large company where your contact keeps changing. Marc Derlich runs the company personally and plans every assignment himself. He is also on site for most assignments, and he remains your direct point of contact.
If an assignment calls for more personnel, for example for events, delegations or longer deployments, he puts together a team of experienced close protection officers and security staff from his network. He selects them for the specific assignment and briefs them. Planning and coordination always go through him.

Delegation protection
With delegations, the schedule is the protection plan.
When business and trade delegations, international guests or business partners arrive, everything hinges on a tight schedule: arrival, transfers, meetings, site visits and the evening programme. DERLO plans the protection around this schedule and coordinates it in advance with the host, the office and, where there is one, corporate security.
During the assignment, the protection follows the guests' schedule, not the other way round. If a meeting is moved, Marc Derlich adjusts routes, journeys and how the team is deployed. The aim is a calm, punctual visit in which names, travel dates and accommodation remain confidential.

When you engage DERLO, you work with Marc Derlich. A certified security and protection specialist (Fachkraft für Schutz und Sicherheit), he has worked in the security sector since 2016 and in close protection since 2020. He remains your point of contact from the first conversation to the follow-up.

Does DERLO have a permanent team?
DERLO is run personally by Marc Derlich. For larger assignments, he puts together a team of experienced close protection officers and security staff from his network, project by project.
Does DERLO share client references?
No. The names of clients and assignments remain confidential. Marc Derlich is happy to talk about his experience and approach in a personal conversation.
How quickly will I receive a quote?
After the initial consultation, as soon as the occasion, scope and timings are clear. Short-notice enquiries are possible; the fastest way is by phone or WhatsApp.
