Marc Derlich is a certified security and protection specialist (Fachkraft für Schutz und Sicherheit, trained 2017 to 2020). In the same period he completed many of his close protection courses in Germany and abroad. He has been working in close protection since 2020. As the owner, he personally runs DERLO Consulting & Protection in Frechen near Cologne.

Vocational qualification
Completed vocational training as a security and protection specialist (Fachkraft für Schutz und Sicherheit), 2017 to 2020. During the same period, Marc Derlich took many of his close protection courses. Together, they form the professional foundation for planning, close protection and security consulting at DERLO.
Close protection
Specialised close protection courses in Germany and abroad, many of them alongside his vocational training (2017 to 2020). Active in operational close protection since 2020.
Close quarters battle
Several CQB courses, including with Projekt Gecko. CQB stands for close quarters battle and refers to operating in confined spaces.
Since 2002
Additional qualifications
Certified firearms competence under section 7 of the German Weapons Act (WaffG), plus various shooting training courses focused on close protection. Since 2019, Marc Derlich has also worked in an armed capacity, as part of several close protection details.
Additional training in the medical side of close protection.
Planning evacuations from crisis regions: assessing the situation, defining alternative routes and assembly points, and ensuring reliable communication.
Security preparation for trips abroad: assessing the destination, accommodation and routes, and defining points of contact and emergency arrangements.

Company
DERLO Consulting & Protection is run personally by Marc Derlich. He plans every assignment himself and is personally present on most of them. When needed, he works with experienced colleagues from his network, including former members of police and military special units. This allows the staffing to be matched to the protection needs of each assignment.
